The BIANYC, a New York Not-for-Profit Corporation, priorities are the promotion, protection and improvement of the home building industry in New York City. Whether single or multi-family homes or small commercial buildings, our members are part of an industry that is one of the most heavily regulated in the nation. They must comply with literally hundreds of federal, state and local laws and regulations on each project. Often these laws and regulations conflict with one another and may be interpreted differently in different Boroughs of the City and differently by the various agencies that enforce the law and regulations.

We represent member and industry interests before the Mayor’s Office, the City Council, the NYS Legislature and the various tribunals and regulatory agencies charged with enforcement of the code. BIANYC government relations efforts result in our members having a “seat at the table” so their voice can be heard and their concerns considered by elected and appointed officials.

BIANYC also provides our members with a wide choice of business networking opportunities specific to the building industry. This allows our members to quickly and efficiently identify industry-specific business trading partners that will help them manage their business better and improve the “bottom-line”. Additionally, we offer our members a wide array of professional training opportunities, some leading to industry professional designations, so that they may improve and modernize their skill sets to better serve the customer.
